If you've decided to redesign your garden, then perhaps you're looking for gardening ideas to help you get the garden you want.

Here are 10 ideas to get you thinking.

1. Why not get the children involved? Perhaps you can give them their own patch of garden, or a few pots, so that they can grow their own plants and flowers. They'll enjoy helping, and will want to make sure that their seeds grow.

2. You could grow your own fruit and vegetables. As well as saving you money, you'll notice the difference in taste between fruit and vegetables bought from the supermarket and those you've grown in your garden. Perhaps this will spur you on to eating more healthily too.

3. Think about the amount of space you have, and what you can realistically do with it. It's easy to get carried away and want decking, and water features and huge trees, but, if you don't have the space, it won't work. Don't get too ambitious, and be prepared to scale back your ideas.

4. Do some research and find out what sorts of plants will grow in your garden. Don't just buy plants, as they may not be suitable for your garden, and so they'll be a waste of money.

5. If you're starting from scratch, perhaps you could think about things for the children. Room for a slide, a trampoline, a swing, or to kick a football or play badminton will be greatly appreciated.

6. Your garden will need to be easy to manage. You won't want to spend all your spare time tending to it. By making sure that the elements you have in your garden don't need a lot of looking after, you'll be able to enjoy your garden a lot more, and not see it as a chore.

7. Make sure that your garden is easy to use. Things like the position of the washing line, shed, or the barbeque will make a big difference to how much they get used.

8. Will you want additional storage space from your garden? What about a shed or a garage, or a play house for the children. You might want to build a home office or kids summerhouse

9. Perhaps you could turn some of the garden into an additional play area. What about adding a sandpit, or having somewhere to store the bikes and other outdoor toys and games?

10. Whatever you have planned for the garden, you'll need to compromise with other members of the family. What might be important to you might not be important to the rest of the family. You might want a cottage garden full of flowers, but will your children? You might want a minimalistic garden that easy to maintain, but will there be an plants and flowers in the spring and summer? You might want a pond, but are the children old enough to be safe near it?

Once you've decided how you want your garden, and got some gardening ideas, you can then design it properly and make the most of it. By getting it right in the first place, you'll be able to enjoy it all year round.

1.  Bulleted Lists

Today's reader has been renamed SCANNER! Just take a look at how YOU read material online. Mostly, you scan articles picking out key points that are either highlighted or bulleted. Agree?

It's time to use that principal to ignite your content and keep your readers engaged... not saying "this is soooo boring, when will it end?" Short & sweet, to the point, and POWERFUL. Say much with little wording!

2.  Concluding Evidence

Today's consumer is educated and armed with plenty of research! If you plan on making a strong claim, it's critical you back it up. Here's how:

The most credible websites in the world are the .gov websites. These sites are packed with statistical data from full-time PHd's who spend their lives conducting studies on all sorts of topics. What does this mean to you?

You need to use strong supporting evidence to prove your claims.  Here's a great tool for doing that:

Go to the Advanced Search feature on your search engines' home page, and set it to Government Websites Only. Having trouble finding this option? Just type "How to search government websites only" into your browser. This should help!

3. Word Count

I'm not telling you to write short posts and I'm certainly not telling you to write long posts! Before you dive into writing, ask yourself these questions:

*  Is my demographic time-starved?

*  Will my core demographic be scanning this article, or reading it?

*  Can I say a lot using a few words? (can be a very beneficial tactic if used properly)

*  Can I bullet some of my statements, making it easier to read?

* Can I take out a few words to make my content pop more?

* Am I writing for keywords, search engines, or my readers? (the answer should be obvious)

Content marketing is one of the most effective, cost-efficient, and all around best marketing strategies to drive leads and sales.

But the key with content marketing is understanding that your results are directly tied to the quality of your content.

So in this video I’m going to cover 5 easy to follow tips for writing great content.

Tip 1: Keep It Clear, Concise, and Focused

The most important thing you can do for your content is to keep it on point. Your potential customer found this content for a reason, whether through a search engine, or spotting a link that caught their attention.

Their goal is to learn more about the subject you’ve headlined and you owe it to them to provide it.

Tip 2: Edit, Edit, Edit

Hammering out a 2,000 word article and hitting submit just shouldn’t happen. Even Hemingway was well known for disliking his initial drafts. Break up your editing into phases.

Tip 3: Make the Content Actionable

Talking about your success is fine, but what your customers really want to know is how they can do it too. By creating actionable content, you’re giving your audience things they can try immediately.

Tip 4: Add Images

Images can take a decent post and make it great. The key to shareable content is to find relatable graphics. Using stock photos for the sole purpose of using images may look better than a completely text-based piece of content, but it’s pointless if it doesn’t benefit the reader.

According to Forbes, articles with images get 94% more views than articles without. That’s too large of a percentage to pass up on.

Tip 5: Provide Answers

No one wants to finish an article with more questions than they arrived with.

Again, people are consuming your content for a reason. Remember that with your headline, you’ve made a promise to answer their question, so you need to be sure your content provides the answers they were looking for.


These tips may sound simple but that’s because they are. Writing great content isn’t reserved for the Shakespeares and Tolstoys of our generation.

It’s attainable to anyone who focuses on the basics and can get pen to paper, or hands to keyboard.

Worse yet these people are never even 'exposed' to any sales offerings you may have since their only option was to either opt in or leave. Squeeze pages serve only one function and that is to get people to join your opt-in list however their conversion rates are normally very low. To make matters worse, unless folks opt in, they never even see a sales page. On the other hand using a small business blog for building a list makes sense from the standpoint that people may return and will always be exposed to any sales offerings regardless! As suggested above using this option does present some very strong arguments, and for the serious business builder this approach is definitely worth considering.
