For bloggers, especially new ones, the most popular mistake they make is they do not write for the audience, leading to the poor number of views. The fact remains that the key factor of blog's success is good writing which appeal visitors' aspiration to come back to your blog.

Many blogs out there are crying for visitors but they do not realize that their scattered thoughts and bad prose are just prompting people to quickly head for the hills.

If you want them to read and appreciate your writing, you have to start thinking like a marketer or a copywriter. Be focused, be creative, be witty and be a conversationalist.

Writing articles or blog posts is all about communication.

Unless your blog is only for your family, your business colleagues, or your dog and cat, you're probably writing with the hope that someone will read about your thoughts. You can bet not many people are on the same wavelength.

So if you want your blog to flourish, you have to write about something that people will find it worth reading and could benefit them in profound ways.

Build a loyal readership with unique content that resonates with your readers. Write compelling articles or posts that provide useful information and tips. That's the way to keep them coming back to your blog.

Here are some key factors to help you avoid stumbling into some blogging potholes:

1. Stay true to your topic

Opinions are fine, but unless you're Google's head honcho, very few people will want to know what you eat for breakfast. Stick to your gun. If your blog is about travel, then write about travel.

2. Always write in a conversational style

You can forget what your English teacher taught in school. Forget corporate-speak. Write the way you speak, conversational style. This way you won't sound uptight and unnatural.

3. Be an opinionated blogger

Don't bore your readers with pleasant platitudes. Most people respond better to an honest airing of views. Give them a piece of your mind if you will. If you can stand the heat, be controversial, be a devil's advocate.

4. Be witty and have a sense of humour

Show them you're someone with a sense of humour and can be very witty in your writing. Show them you can laugh at yourself and still get your point across.

5. Know what you're talking about

If you're writing about your profession, you'd better know what you are talking about. Most bloggers are well-informed and will throw brickbats at you if you're found out.

6. Update frequently, but don't burn out

Avoid burnout. Bloggers are only humans, so stick to a publishing schedule that is humanly possible for you. If you've just updated your blog and find a story you want to share, save it for later.

Don't work yourself into a corner. Never take on more than you can chew.

Blogging should not be regarded as a rat race. Pace yourself nicely and you will find it's a pleasant journey... and rewarding, too.

Some days before On "Tosh.0," Daniel Tosh met up with Paul "Hungry Bear" Vasquez, better known as the "Double Rainbow" guy. Tosh got Hungry Bear to talk about his life in the wilderness he lives on just $ 5,000 a yea, he even swore that he wasn't on drugs when he made the infamous video. To see the world through Hungry Bear's eyes, Tosh downed some "magic mushrooms" and the pair followed an awe-inspiring quadruple rainbow through the forest. When you see where the rainbow ends, you too will be asking "what does this mean?". Tosh.0 is a running commentary on hot videos making the rounds via the Internet, but Tosh also comments on small screen series and other cultural phenomenon. Courtesy of CC. the famous singing program American Idol had it coming from Daniel Tosh, the Comedy Central Internet policeman who features the most talked up viral videos and lays in his commentary with interaction from some of the video stars he is lampooning. Tosh is the fair-haired lad currently at Comedy Central, killing in the ratings on his series Tosh.0 (Wednesdays, 10:30 ET/PT), as Season 2 averages over 2.5 million viewers this summer, the great news about the Daniel Tosh is that he is coming to Augusta. The Tosh National Stand-up Tour will be making a stop at the Bell Auditorium in Augusta on Thursday, Oct. 14. You have seen his hilarious show, Tosh.0 on Comedy Central and laughed so hard, your beer has squirted out your nose. Now, see the man, in person, here in Augusta. The legendary icon Daniel Tosh is to 2010 what Dane Cook was a few years ago. He is one of, if not the most famous comedians right now. This is mostly in part thanks to his show on Comedy Central, "Tosh.0," in which he features viral internet videos and puts his own humorous twist on them. The great comedian Tosh will be performing two shows in St. Louis at the Pageant on Oct. 6, one at 7:30 p.m. and one at 10:30 p.m. we would encourage to all our customers to get tickets fast, as he is sure to sell out both. To some, the idea of University of Maine Student Entertainment putting on two high-profile hip-hop concerts back to back may seem ludicrous. But on Nov. 9, none other than Ludacris himself will be in the Alfond Arena, riding the success of The Roots concert last semester in the Field House. The concert is just one of two events confirmed by Student Entertainment for this year. The super Comedian Daniel Tosh will be performing in the Collins Center for the Arts Oct. 28 as part of a 60-city tour. Tosh's honest, sarcastic approach to comedy has garnered quite a bit of attention in his realm. His Comedy Central show took down both "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" in ratings, according to a report. Nabozny said the comedian matches the college demographic perfectly. Do not wait come and get tickets from our site and enjoy the performance of Tosh live. Get your Cheap Daniel Tosh Tickets

One of the best ways to drive traffic to your website is to write a blog about your business.  We'll ask our clients if they're willing to do this - it's only worth doing it if you're willing to update it pretty much every working day and for some people that's too much of a commitment.  There are other options, such as paying a professional copywriter or blogger to do it for you, but then you don't really have the chance to share your insights with your potential clients and impress the socks off of them.

It's not too much to ask though, as long as you have some good ideas.  Pretty much every day something will come along in your working life which you can share with someone - why not share it with your blogging audience and reap the benefits of it.

Some ideas you might want to write about would be:

A new product or service that you offer
An anecdote of the day - a funny story is always good ("We deleted the website and didn't have a back-up.  ho ho!") - your website doesn't always have to be deadly serious and doesn't even have to always be on-topic (although it should be sometimes!)
Something you've learned today - either a way to save yourself some time or a new technique that turned out to be useful or something
Something you're proud of - perhaps you helped a client achieve something?
A list - your top 5 favourite websites relevant to your business, etc
A quiz - first correct answer gets a free something
A free bit of advice for your clients

That's a decent list to get started with.  A blog doesn't have to take up all of your working day but it's an easy way to keep your website fresh, make your website more personal and drive traffic to your site.  It also gives your customers a reason to keep coming back to your site and the more they come back, the more likely they are to buy something from you!
